Hi SB!

That's disappointing to hear! I thought that Medici was a great find thanks to our experience :-(

Usually when I go out in Bangalore, I find that the restaurants are lacking in quite a few places, so this really was a pleasant surprise for me. I wonder if they suffer from the same problem that quite a few other places do in Bangalore - consistency. I'm not sure if this is down to the staff on the night (and if they rotate very often), or if it is just a common problem here.

I know that while I lived in London, most restaurants were quite consistent in the type of food they delivered and you really knew what to expect, but it doesn't quite seem to be the same here for some reason!

hey kaiesh...
funnily we had the absolute opposite experience at Medici. The calamari appetizer was smelly, overy chewy and definitely stale -- tho' the accompanying sauces were good. the rest of our meal was just about passable. my risotto was dry, the spaghetti bolognese was sweet and the Caesar salad has the most sorry looking lettuce. The only thing that was memorable (in a good way) was the freshly baked bread basket. I was particularly irritated by where we were sitting - the booth section - because the tables we so big that the stewards couldn't serve us and we were practically serving ourselves with plates that were handed into our hands, and consequently helping with the clean up. Quite a sorry experience!
